FireTime Software was formed in 2003 by Dave Monahan. Our vision is to provide software applications to the Fire Service that provide simple, cost-effective solutions.
Since we began, we have created a variety of products for a number of fire departments. Our first application was a payroll/time management database system that is utilized by five different fire departments. We have also developed electronic and web-based firefighter vacation-pick applications, a simple call-tracking database, and web-based shift calendars.
In 2006, a web-based training-records application was developed in cooperation with three fire departments. The result is Fire Training Tracker (FTT), a web-based database application for managing fire department training. FTT is currently in use by twelve fire departments, managing records for over 1000 personnel.
Dave Monahan started designing and programming databases in 1981 in Phoenix, AZ. He received a BSEET from DeVry Institute in 1985, and then was employed in Seattle by G.E. Medical Systems for 15 years as a Field Service Engineer on MRI imaging systems, and continued to create database applications, one of which is still in use by GE. He began his fire career as a volunteer in 1988, and became a career firefighter in 1999. He is currently a Driver/Operator and Acting Officer.
